Energy Efficient Beamforming Optimization for Integrated Sensing and Communication

This letter investigates the optimization of beamforming design in a system with integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), where base station (BS) sends signals for simultaneous multiuser radar sensing. We aim at maximizing energy efficiency (EE) while guaranteeing requirement terms individual beampattern gains. The problem is complicated nonconvex fractional program which challenging to be solved. By appropriately reformulating then applying techniques successive convex approximation (SCA) semidefinite relaxation (SDR), we propose an iterative algorithm address this problem. In theory, prove that introduced SDR rigorously tight. Numerical results validate effectiveness proposed algorithm.
